The Marriott Curacao Beach Resort & Emerald Casino is located on Piscadera Bay, 15 mins from Hato International Airport and 5 minutes from downtown. Situated on a private white sandy beach, this Caribbean beach resort offers ocean views, an outdoor pool with swim up bar and jaccuzi's, rich culture and variety of outdoor activities make Curacao a vacation destination for anyone. The 5 star PADI dive and water sports center offers kayak rentals, diving/snorkeling lessons and boat trips perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. There is also a casino and five restaurants including a beach bar.

I don't usually do reviews of my travels, but the Marriott resort and the people who make it so wonderful deserve some comments. This Marriott is located a little west of downtown Willemstad. This is a quiet area without the bustle of the downtown. The grounds are superb! The resort buildings are in very good to excellent condition with all of the Marriott comfort one can expect. The restaurants and food were all above par beginning with the Voila! deli all the way to their first class Portofino restaurant. The Emerald Lounge (try the ahi tuna BLT!) and the pool restaurant (El Cubano sandwich) were above average as well. The pool area is beyond description, nestled right up next to the beach. There are two secluded hot tub areas to relax, and during my stay they were usually vacant. Excellent snorkeling opportunities right inside their private lagoon. Get up early to grab a palapa for beach shade; otherwise, you'll be exposed to the sun all day. They go fast! The casino was just the right size for a resort like this. It was never too crowded where you could not find a slot machine or table to gamble. The people here are fantastic - always smiling, always friendly and always helpful. You don't get the sense that they're pretending to be that way. I would highly recommend this resort, and I will surely be going back!
